My name is Jess Bellantoni and I am an over packer. There, I admitted it.
Now I am faced with the impossible---packing for a semester abroad. I thought packing for college was a challenge and now I have to fit all of that into 2 bags?? That weigh less than 50 pounds?? Needless to say this task is daunting for anyone, and for me, the queen of excessively stuffed suitcases, it is very overwhelming.
But with my departure day (August 31st) fast approaching, I have no choice but to suck it up and do it. I've started making piles of the clothes I want to take and now have to cut them basically in half. I don't even want to talk about what will happen to my pile of shoes. Side note: every year moving in and out of school and every vacation I take my suitcase full of shoes is always larger than my suitcase with clothes. Oops? I guess I'll just have to buy new clothes and shoes when I get there O:)
For those of you who may not know, "there", is Barcelona. Hopefully you've figured that out though. I will be there for the entire fall semester, taking classes at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. I am hoping this blog will help me keep in touch and keep all of my friends and family updated on my adventures abroad. I wish I could bring you all with me but unfortunately my suitcases are already busting at the seams...
